ART WORK

For many years I was obsessed with interactive artworks, mechanical sculpture, automata and anything that was able to move. This realm still fascinates me but I am currently taking a break from producing ephemeral experiences through man and machine interaction.

The central themes running through my work over the years were Free Will and randomness. Making various Machines and objects whimsically testing out these futile quests.

The act of viewing the work was also a central element to understanding it. Asking the viewer to play with the piece to unlock it’s stationary position to unveil a reactive presence.
The objects themselves were often created with traditional craft based practices combined with contemporary technologies and software. Resulting in handmade objects with the intelligence to communicate.

When I left the UK I loaned most of my sculptures to the Mad Museum. If you would like to see them please get in touch with them at http://themadmuseum.co.uk, they are based in Stratford upon Avon, in the UK.
